File · 099 · About the firm

A small Florida firm,
built on the
Indian River.

Capital Marine Construction is a Cocoa-based crew specializing in residential and light-commercial waterfront construction across the Space Coast and Central Florida.

01 · Owner

Bill Theil.

Bill started Capital Marine after fifteen years working for two of Florida’s larger marine contractors, where he watched smart builds get compromised by quota pressure and undertrained crews. He left to build the firm he wished he could subcontract to — small enough that he sees every job himself, equipped enough to drive his own pilings, and slow enough to permit each project correctly the first time.

He lives on the Banana River, has two kids in Brevard County schools, and answers his own phone before 8pm. After that, the storm line still works.

02 · What we believe

Four things we won’t
negotiate on.

01 · Engineered, not eyeballed.

Every project gets sealed P.E. drawings. Not a rule of thumb, not a sketch on the back of an estimate.

02 · Permitted, fully.

We don’t cut DEP or ACOE corners. The permit binder lives with the project for the life of the warranty.

03 · Honest pricing.

The configurator number is the same range we’d quote you over the phone. No bait-and-switch on the site visit.

04 · Storm-tested detailing.

After three named storms inside our service area, our crews have a list of details that survive. We build everything to that list.

03 · Credentials

Licensed,
insured, bonded.

I don’t sell dock add-ons I wouldn’t put on my own dock. I don’t sell seawall material I haven’t already watched survive a Cat 3. If we recommend it, it’s because we’ve already lived with it. — Bill Theil, owner

Coffee or site visit?
Either works.

No pressure. We’ll come look at the waterline and tell you straight what’s possible, what’s smart, and what we’d skip.
